Use this calculator to find the mean median mode and range of columns in your data set.

The mean median and mode are measures of the Central Tendency of a data set. The mean tells you the average value of the data. The median tells you the value at the center of the data set. The mode tells you the most commonly found value of the data set.

You might have a right-skewed data set if the median is below the mean. This happens when there are a lot of values below the mean but a smaller number of values above the mean that could be outliers.

If the median is above the mean, then you might have a left-skewed data set. This can happen when there are a lot of values above the mean but a smaller number of values below the mean that could be outliers.

How to Find the Mean, Median, Mode and Range

  1. Input your data at the top of this page

  2. View the mean, median, mode and range

The mean, median, mode and range will be calculated for all numeric columns in the data set. If a column is not visible, then it might have been interpreted as non-numeric.
